- Both glass clamps and u-channel require drilling into threshold surface to ensure structural support. If not mechanically secured it will eventually shift. (If you prefer no drilling consider any of our semi-frameless or framed options.)
- Fiber glass stall manufacturers usually put some wood blocking but not always and more importantly they do not always line up to where hinges will be placed. Unless purposefully installed with wood blocking completely filling the space to wall stud frame (2x4) do not install ProLine hinged doors into fiber glass stalls.
- Clamps/channel, headers, and hinges must follow these guidelines to ensure safe installation.
- As always, consult with local building code requirements, as they may supersede these requirements. These should be considered minimum requirements
- Full frameless options in the ProLine series should be installed by professionals. We can recommend installation companies with experience in many cities - please enquire.
