Why do you not recommend 10mm glass for fiber glass stalls?

Heavy glass needs support

We love our Proline shower series and wish they could be everywhere! However they are all 10mm heavy glass and due to this it's recommend that they are installed into wall studs. Fiber glass stalls (even the flat wall variations) have a gap between the fiberglass and the wall studs.

Swing and pivot 10mm options like the PL91 need to have the hinges screwed into wall studs to support the door weight. ProLine sliders like the PL50 carry the weight across the header at the top of the shower and need to be screwed into studs as well.

Want the luxury and high end feel of 10mm glass in an enclosure that can be installed to a fiber glass stall? We have solutions for you! The 1050 series is a bypass sliding door with 10mm heavy glass but as they are designed with wall jambs that provide structural support they can be installed into fiber glass stalls.
Want the PL91 frameless look in your stall? The 391CV-HG combines a 6mm semi-frameless door with an 10mm inline panel to achieve a similar look that was purposefully designed as a solution to install into your fiber glass stall. Additionally there is no header across the top and allows clear entry into the shower (even for super tall people!)
